Abstract :In this study an ability to improve thermal insulation properties of steel shutters installed at factories was considered.At the first stage heat transmission coefficient of a steel shutter with inward air layer constructed using thin vinyl sheet, were calculated with measured data of air temperatures in and around a steel storeroom and amount of heat flow.And also the effect of inward air layer to prevent the dew condensation on metal components’ surfaces in a factory was verified with measured data of winter thermal environment.
