|Abstract ||:||This paper forcuses on Shukei principles for infill construction in Japan's historic towns and landscapes aimed at preservation of their cultural authenticity. This year, field surveys and interviews were executed in such cities as Kawagoe, Sawara, Kanazawa, and Kiso Hirasawa, Kiryu was chosen as the site of a case study for seeking ideal Shukei methods.|
