Abstract :A microgrid is a localized grouping of electricity generation, energy storage, and loads that normally connected to a traditional centralized grid. The microgrid is expected to be a useful energy system in terms of efficient use of renewable energy and back-up power supply at disaster. In this study, a simulation study on optimum design of microgrid for distributed generation is conducted as a case study at the microgrid system installed in Niigata Institute of Technology.
