Abstract :A Series of wind tunnel measurements of fluctuating gas concentration near a building model was carried out using a high response FID for three cases in which the densimetric Froude Number was specified at - 8.6, 0 and 8.6 respectively. Large influence of the buoyancy effect on distributions of <c>,<c’^2> and spectrum shape of C’ was observed in the area near the tracer outlet. The structures of the turbulent diffusion fields of the cases were discussed precisely. Special attention was paid to local stability of air which changes significantly in space according to buoyant gas diffusion, so that many features of turbulent diffusion fields under stable and unstable conditions were clarified.
